40?!!!
Yes, it was my birthday on Friday and
Kelly surprised me with a trip to Snowbird. We took a tram ride, hiked around then had dinner. The tram ride was fun and it was amazing standing on top of the mountain looking out over the world. There was a barbecue competition going on and the air smelt like briquettes - it was wonderful. There was live music and dancing - we had so much fun. The view from our room was awesome looking out over the trees at the beautiful mountains in the morning. It was so peaceful and nice. Thanks to my husband for making my birthday memorable. I appreciate his love and thoughtfulness.

Back to Work

Kelly went back to work yesterday Monday, June 16, 2008 after his 10 month fight with cancer. It has been a long road, but I’m happy to report that through several rounds of chemo therapy, a bone marrow transplant and lots of prayers, his cancer is now in complete remission.
Currently there is no cure for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, but we are hoping that it will stay in remission for many years and if we are really lucky it may never return. He is feeling well and is happy to be back to work.
Once again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It’s nice to know that when there is an unexpected crisis, that there are a lot of caring people who are willing to help others in need.

The MTC Drop Off

He made it! We took Spencer to the MTC Wednesday, June 13th. Spencer is in the MTC for the next nine weeks learning Spanish. We received his first letter on Saturday and he thinks the MTC is awesome. The first night he was there they had steak for dinner and he said he could go back as many times as he wanted. His companion is Elder Garvise. They lost each other Thursday morning. The #1 rule of the MTC is to always stay with your companion. If any body knows Spencer losing something is nothing new - but a companion? I was alittle worried about him but his letter was great and he is happy to be at the MTC and enjoying it so far.
The Perfect Day!
